Read all the negative reviews but decided to try for myself and I'm glad I did! The service was perfect. Just walk in and place your order and the lady was very pleasant. I had the Singapore noodles and they were FANTASTIC. spiced just right, great chicken (I didn't want Shrimp in mine). Also got an order of crab rangoons. Not over full of cream cheese and crab but super tasty. I recommend this place. So far best Chinese I've had in grove city.

Ok so... The food is edible, but after going to pick it up I'm not quite sure if you'd want to eat it. I really wanted some sweet and sour chicken. I've had some cheap sweet and sour chicken- you know like, in the black plastic container with a TON of chicken with some thick batter. No veggies. Well Joy Lucky makes that stuff look like 5 star, suit and tie food. Let me start from the beginning. I called to place the order. Lady picks up: Her: Joy Lucky, help you? Me: Hi I'd like to place an order to pick up. Her: What you want to order? Me: one order of sweet and sour chicken with steamed rice please. Her: that it? 10 to 12 minutes. Thank you. No customer service at all, didn't even take my name for the order! So I'm like, ok, maybe it's just a hard night for her. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. So I get there, place smells like straight fish!! Like Lake Erie fish! I'm thinking positive, maybe someone just ordered a huge order of shrimp. I didn't get greeted at all. Lady behind the counter asks what I need. I told her I just ordered sweet and sour. So gets it for me, rings it up, and that's it. No thank you. No have a good night. Nothing. I'm STILL trying to stay positive about the food because that's what I came for. I get home and there's the normal half ton of chicken in a Chinese carton, sweet and sour sauce, white rice, fortune cookie. Looks good. Smells good (not fishy). I have tried 3 pieces of chicken now and so far NO CHICKEN! All batter. There's enough grease on them to fill a 32oz jar. The sauce is thinner than water. But the rice is perfect and the fortune cookie is not stale!! If you pick through all the batter and find some chicken, it's decent. Sauce has good flavor it's just very thin. I will personally never eat here again no matter how desperate I am. And I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I usually try and give a second chance in case it was a bad day (because everyone has them) but with everything being so terrible except the rice- I will encourage you all to Run away!!!

I really like this place. It's fast food chinese, so don't expect anything fantastic. I like it, though. It's a lot better than Panda Express. I've tried a bunch of stuff on the menu and it's good.

Plus side: quick service, big portions, chunks of veggies. Minus side: very little taste, "spicy" dishes very very mild, oiliness. I really want to like this little place, but just can't enjoy the food. It all tastes bland.

Pretty good food, best fried rice in town. A little pricey but otherwise good.

One of the oddest interaction I ever have with a customer service is at this place. Absolute no eyes contact, the ladies asked with the least politeness possible with "what you want?" ... uh, do you want my money ? It's odd. They look like they hated to be there. The staff talk in a foreign language, and actually laughed and looked at me, this is a disrespectful behavior. The food has its high and low. The honey chicken is devoured with sugar ! I actually bit into a solid pieces of sugars that was left on the side of the breaded chicken, pretty sure that honey chicken is not meant to be induce a diabetic ketoacidosis. Found a hair in one of my food, didn't make a huge deal about it, I just asked them to make me another one, no apologizes none whatsoever, they made me another one and I was content enough because I was hungry. The egg rolls, spring rolls, chicken noodle soup, sweet & sour chicken is all typical Chinese food hole in the wall quality, which is subpar. The General Tso's chicken is one of the best, and this is the reason I still visited this place. Unfriendly staff, one food item is excellent and nothing else.

We live in a vast wasteland of Chinese cuisine - German Village, so we went to this place for take out on the recommendation of one review. How very disappointing. Hard to find and not worth it. We had egg rolls (nicely crisp, almost no filling. No meat at all and we had not ordered veggie rolls), pot stickers (nice dough. Filling had no flavor at all), Sesame Chicken (tough meat, sauce was flavorless.) and Roasted Pork Sezchuan (Good meat. sauce was dreadful. It tasted like thinly made but thickened beef stock with two or three flakes of red pepper put in an empty tea bag and dipped in once). You get the gist. Nothing had any flavor. They seem to take time with the cutting and dicing prep. The ingredients are fresh. The cooking is horrendous. They must be stuck in the old "Americans-don't-really-want-true-or-assertive-flavors" mistake of 40 years ago. If they can get someone to re-do the recipes, or follow them, it could approach OK. Until then, avoid this place. Just avoid it.

This place was so bad that it inspired me to take the time to write my first review on this app. Prior reviews talk about the food portions and how there isn't any actual meat in the chicken pieces. It might sound odd but there are pictures located in a few of the reviews to show you. Next, the fried rice was thee worst I've ever tasted. There was no flavor, which made the "chicken" taste even worse. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for your Chinese fix even if it involves driving an extra 5-10 minutes.

A very clean & bright little Chinese eat in & take out on the main strip in ye olde Grove City! The family that runs Joy Lucky are friendly and fast with your order! This is probably the best option (in my humble opinion) for take-out Chinese in the area!

This was the worse excuse for Chinese food I ever tasted! Everything was tasteless!

egg rolls were empty. Whatever chicken dish I ordered was, and I'm not exaggerating, ninety percent onion and almost no chicken. Everybody else I ate with was pretty unhappy as well. I wouldn't go here again.

0 Stars for service. I ordered a lunch special that came with soup. I was handed my bag with my entree and not the soup. So I had to ask for my soup and it caused the price to shoot up once I asked for it. I was also yelled at for asking for it. Pretty sure had I not spoken up, I would have been leaving with only part of my meal. For the hot and sour soup in question, it was like gelatin! It has the same consistency as the sauce on my chicken. After a few bites, I was done. I just didn't trust it. Vegetables were undercooked. It would have been better if they just served me raw veggies instead. It's a shame since they are the closest Chinese restaurant to my place of employment. But the service at the counter was rude. I understand food services is not all rainbows and sunshine.I'm not expecting to be treated like the most important person to ever order sesame chicken. But you have to have a better way of dealing with customers if you want them to come back. Treat me like you want my return business. Don't talk to me in a tone like you can't be bothered to serve me. Gordon Ramasy is the only restauranteur who can tell me to piss off and expect me to come back to eat his food again. "Thank You come again" entreats the desperate smiley face on the bag. Sorry, No thanks.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
